Already well-known on the French and European scene, Klone is about to achieve musical domination with a fifth album promising to be the high note of ten years of passion, work and musicality. This new effort is going to be crucial for the career of these guys from Poitiers.

Before the Eyewall
Interesting instrumental band from Columbus, OH. Thanks Mike Scheidt for the shout out. Before the Eyewall is a heavy, psychedelic, instrumental trio formed in 2010 in Columbus, OH by two ex-members of Kenoma- Aaron O’Brien-Eichman (percussion, keys, visual design) and Garrett LoConti (guitars, samples, keys). Both are veterans of the burgeoning DIY music and art scene in central OH and have worked together in various other projects over the last few years. The band’s creative output… draws from a wide spectrum of musical and artistic influences while forging unique, melodic, cinematic and visceral compositions not necessarily intended for the casualContinue readingBefore the Eyewall

Lyle Cooper former drummer with the faceless
Love this video, Lyle is absorbed in the playing of the very complicated Planetary Duality Pt 1 and 2.
Uzala – Tales of Blood and Fire
Listening to new Uzala cut, Tales of Blood and Fire while working. Damn it’s good. The second track, Dark Days is already on my list of best tracks for 2013, love the way Darcy’s voice soars across the spectrum and sends chills down my spine. What a ride this track is.

Fall into Darkness

Sunday at the Mississippi Studio, Mike Scheidt opened with a solo acoustic performance, Uzala were next and then Hammers of Misfortune. Had to leave before the Skull came on, early drive back home next morning. Here’s some photos from the events. Hammers of Misfortune Uzala Mike Scheidt

Red Fang, Helms Alee, Dog Shredder
Dog Shredder opened proceedings at Harlow’s Sacramento last night. First time I’ve heard them. Going to listen to some of their stuff this weekend. Some inventive riffs. Next up were Helms Alee. Now I’m biased, being a fan of their unique blend of styles and that all 3 band members do vocals. They were excellent and the crowd really appreciated the performance. Briefly met the band as they were breaking down, really encourage them to tour more. Red Fang headlined the evening. First saw these guys at Brixton O2 supporting Mastodon. Their rock/metal style is a real kick when youContinue readingRed Fang, Helms Alee, Dog Shredder
